Reading

Guess who?

Do you remember the classic game "Guess who?". I used to play when I was young and I thought that this would be a great idea to practice reading and writing.
It's very easy!! You only have to create cards with the same words ( in pairs). Each student has got one card and choose one word. They have to guess which word is the word chosen by the other one.

Speaking!!

Theatre

I'm going to show you a very interesting activity to motivate your students to speak in english and enjoy the class at the same time.
You have to write difference short stories in a paper, and each one will be characters.
Each character will have to read their text paying special attention to the pronunciation.

Example: Ann and her mum are in the kitchen:

Ann: Mum, what's for breakfast?
Mum: There are toast and chocolate
Ann: Can I drink an orange juice, please?
Mum: Yes, of course! I want a cup of tea.
Ann: Why don't you take an orange juice too?...

Writing

Writing can be fun!

Let's see a very motivating activity of writing.
I did it with students of 6th grade. Each student has two spellers. The teacher says one word and the students have to make the word with the letters. Do you want to try????

Listening

Wish you were here

Songs are a funny way to practice listenings.
I have chosen an Incubus song called "Wish you were here".
The students have to listen the song and complete the blanks.

You can listen the song clicking here:
ENJOY!!!

Welcome everyone!

        Reading time!

I'm going to show you different activities that you can do with children at school.
Some of this activities are of reading, listening, writing... and I would like to start showing you          the first one. It's called: Choose the right one!

You only have to do different cards with charts. Every chart has columns and every column has 4 possibilities to write a word in english. The children have to choose one of the options ( the right one). I did this activity two weeks ago in my school and they enjoyed so much! Hope you like it!
